And so…

I don’t know how long I will be able to keep this up for…every so often I get the idea that I should blog, then realise that three people (all family) and a dog are my avid readers, so I get disheartened (how do you get people to read your blog…why would you get people to read your blog!), then I censor myself, I feel as though ‘I cannot say that here’, I create stories, I create excitement, I feel guilty for creating excitement, I feel guilty that I feel that I am a good enough writer to warrant any readership whatsoever, I get busy, I get drunk, I fall down, I demure to my friends’ compliments of my writings, I get encouraged, and I start up again…. A never ending cycle of triviality, hey, it’s my life and I’m proud…..

I cannot offer reviews on products or services, though I will occassionally get terribly excited about something or other and harp on about it incessantly. I cannot predict which book/ band/ single/ fashion will be the next craze, though often I will reminisce about the splendid feeling that some old jazz track excites in me, about the feeling of being transported by one great author or other, or of feeling to dance until morning (I occassionally do…very badly) to some fantastic tune to which I cannot ascribe a name or artist. I cannot offer advice of any kind, though I will sometimes ramble about the lessons and miracles my (sometimes) exciting (sometimes not!) life abundantly throws my way. I am not a philosopher, psychologist or psychic, but sometimes I am a keen observer, and most times I’m just recovering from some sordid night or other…which brings about its own philosophy in itself!

So what is this…the murmurings of a madwoman, the musings of an artist, the gentle thoughts of a woman just trying to make her way safely and quietly through this world, but not without the occassional great big noise.
